بنام خدا ؛ هستی بخش بسیار مهربان |

| 17:01 | Glory to Him, who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless, to show him some of Our Signs. He is the Hearer, the Seer. |
منزه و باشکوه است او که بنده اش را شبی از مسجدالحرام به مسجدالاقصی ، که پیرامونش را مبارک گردانیدیم ، سیر داد تا برخی از نشانه هایمان را بدو بنمایانیم . همانا او بسیار شنوا و بینا است

| 17:02 | and We gave Moses the Book, and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel, (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs." |
وبه موسی "کتاب" دادیم و آنرا رهنمونی برای فرزندان اسرائیل قراردادیم تا بجزمن وکیل و نگهبانی مگیرید

| 17:03 | (they are) descendants of those who we carried with Noah; he was an appreciative servant |
آنها نواده های کسانی اند که با نوح برگرفتیم ؛ همانا او از بنده های سپاسگذار ما بود
|

| 17:04 | And We gave warning to the Children of Israel in the Book, that twice would they do mischief on the earth and be elated with mighty arrogance (and twice would they be punished)! |
ودر کتاب به بنی اسرائیل اعلام کردیم که دوبار برروی زمین براه تباهی میروید و باگستاخی فراوان برتری میجویید

| 17:05 | So when the time for the first of the two came, We sent against you Our servants, with great might who ravaged (your) homes, and it was a promise to be accomplished.

وچون وعده اول فرارسید بنده مان را با قدرت فراوان برعلیه شما فرستادیم تا به خانه هایتان هجوم آورند . این سرانجام یک وعده بود

| 17:06 | Afterwards, we give you a turn over them and supply you with a lot of wealth and children, and make you the more numerous in man-power.
|
سپس بار دیگر شمارا برآنها برتری دهیم وبا فرزندان و مال فراوان یاریتان کنیم ودارای نفرات فراوانی شوید
|

| 17:07 | If you do good, you will do good for your own self, and if you do evil, you do to your own detriment. Thus, when the second time comes to pass (We raised another people) that they may bring you to grief and that they may enter the mosque just as they did it the first time. They will destroy all the gains you had accomplished . |
اگر نیکویی کنید بخود نیکویی کرده اید و اگر بدکنید بخود کرده اید . و چون وعده دوم فرارسد انها برایتان ذلت و چهره اندوهگین آورند و به مسجد(الاقصی) وارد شوندآنچنان که نخستین بار نمودند و دستاوردهای شما را نابود سازند

| 17:08 | It may be that your Lord will have mercy on you, and if you again return (to disobedience) We too will return (to punishment), and We have made hell a prison for the unbelievers.
|
شاید پروردگارتان بشما باز مهربان گردد؛ اگر بازگردید باز میگردیم . ما جهنم را زندان با حصاری برای کافران قرار دادیم

| 17:09 | Surely this Quran guides to that which is most right and gives good news to the believers who do good that they shall have a great reward. |
همانا این قرآن به مستقیم ترین و استوارترین راه راهنمایی میکند و مژده میدهد به گروندگانی که کار نیک میکنند که بدرستی پاداشی بزرگ برای آنهااست

| 17:10 | And that those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful retribution. |
و اینکه آنان که به آخرت ایمان ندارند برایشان عذابی دردناک آماده شده
|

| 17:11 | The human being often prays for something that may hurt him, thinking that he is praying for something good. The human being is impatient. |
انسان خیروصلاح خودرا میجوید و بساکه(بعلت شتاب) شر و زیان خود بطلبد و انسان بسیار ناشکیبااست
|

|
| 17:12 | We have made day and night as two (of Our) signs. Night we have darkened, while the day we have lighted; that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the numbers and the count of years. All things we have explained in detail.
|
و روزوشب را دو"نشانه" قراردادیم تا از پروردگارتان طلب فضل کنید وتا از حساب و شماره سالها آگاهی یابید . ما جزئیات هر چیزی را شرح میدهیم

| 17:13 | Every man's fate We have fastened on his own neck and We shall bring forth for him on the Day of Resurrection a book which he will find wide open.
|
سرنوشت هر انسانی راچون طوقی به گردنش بسته ایم و روز رستاخیزبیرون میآوریم کتابی راکه کاملا باز است

| 17:14 | read your own book; to-day you suffice as your own reckoner. |
تو خود بخوان کتابت را ؛ امروز تو خود به تنهایی برای رسیدگی بحسابت کفایت میکنی
|

| 17:15 | Whoever is guided is guided for his good, and whoever goes astray does so to his detriment. No one will bear the sins of others. We never punish without first sending a messenger. |
هر کس هدایت شده همانا بسود خود شده و هرکس گمراه گردیده همانا بزیان خویش گردیده ؛ هیچکس گناه دیگری را حمل نمیکند و ما هرگز کسیرا (در دنیا)عذاب نمیکنیم مگر پس از برانگیختن رسولی

| 17:16 | If we are to annihilate any community, we let the leaders commit vast corruption therein. Once they deserve retribution, we annihilate it completely. |
و چون هنگام نابودی شهری فرارسد دستورهایمان را به مرفهین آنها میرسانیم ،آنها سرپیچی کرده فاسق میشوند پس قول حق برآنها جاری میگردد و همگی تباه میشوند

| 17:17 | Many generations have we annihilated after Noah. Your Lord is most efficient in dealing with the sins of His servants; He is fully cognizant, seer. |
وچه بسا مردمانی که پس از نوح نابود کردیم و پروردگارت ازبابت گناهان بندگانش کافی است؛ او بسیار آگاه و بینااست

| 17:18 | Anyone who chooses this fleeting life as his priority, we will rush to him what we decide to give him, then we commit him to hell where he will endure the heat thereof, condemned, rejected.
|
هرآنکس که تنها زندگی پرشتاب دنیا را بخواهد ما آنرا باشتاب بنحوی که بخواهیم باومیدهیم سپس برایش دوزخ مقرر شده تا گرمای سوزانش را بچشد در حالیکه نکوهش شده و رانده شده از رحمت است

| 17:19 | As for the one who chooses the Hereafter as his priority and strives for it as he ought to strive and he is a believer; their striving shall surely be appreciated. |
وهرکس آخرت را بخواهد و مجدانه کوشش کند در حالیکه ایمان دارد پس از کوشش آنها قدردانی میشود

| 17:20 | For each of them we provide, both these and those, from your Lord's bounty. And your Lord's bounty is not confined.
|
ما بهردو گروه به لطف خود مدد میدهیم. لطف و عطای پروردگار تو بهیچکس محدود نمیشود
|

|
| 17:21 | See how We have bestowed more on some than on others; but verily the Hereafter is more in rank and more in excellence.
|
بنگرچگونه (در این جهان)برخی را بر برخی برتری دادیم و در جهان دیگر برتریها ودرجات بزرگتر است
|
*
|
| 17:22 | Do not associate with Allah any other god, lest you sit down despised and disgraced. |
با خدا خداوند دیگری انبازمگیر تا دچار نکوهش و بی یار و یاوری نشوی
|
*
|
| 17:23 | Your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship except Him, and your parents shall be honored. As long as they live, you shall never say to them "ugh"(the slightest gesture of annoyance), nor repulse them, but speak to them a gracious word. |
و پروردگارت فرمان داده است که بجز او مپرستید و به پدرومادر نیکویی کنید. چون یکی یا هردو آنها سالمند شوند زنهار که کلمه ای از روی رنجیدگی به آنها(اخ) بگویی . با آنها با اکرام و احترام سخن بگو

| 17:24 | And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: 'My Lord! have mercy on them, for they have raised me from infancy.' |
از روی مهربانی پر و بال فروتنی و افتادگی را برایشان بگستران و بگو پروردگارا همچنانکه آنها مرا از کودکی بامهر بپروردند تو در حق آنها رحمت و مهربانی بفرما

| 17:25 | Your Lord is fully aware of your innermost thoughts. If you maintain righteousness, He is of those who repent.
|
پروردگارتان از آنچه در خویشتن شمااست داناتر است. اگر از صالحین باشید همانا او برای توبه کنندگان بسیار آمرزنده است
|

|
| 17:26 | You shall give the due alms to the relatives, the needy, the poor, and the wandering travelers, but do not be excessive, extravagant.
|
حقوق خویشاوندان و نیز نیازمندان و رهگذران آواره را اداکن و اسراف مکن
|
*
|
| 17:27 | Surely, the extravagant are brethren of the devils, and the devil is disbeliever of his Lord.
|
همانا اسراف کنندگان برادران شیطانند و شیطان پروردگارش را سخت کافر شد
|
