| 17:28 | Even if you have to turn away from them, as you pursue the mercy of your Lord, which you hope for, speak to them a gentle word.

و اگر از آنها باید اعراض کنی ،درحالیکه به رحمت پروردگارت امیدواری ،با آنها بزبان خوش گفتگو کن

| 17:29 | You shall not keep your hand stingily tied to your neck, nor shall you foolishly open it up, lest you end up blamed and sorry. |
نه دست (دهش) خودرا محکم بسته دار ونه بسیار باز و گشاده دار که به سرزنش و حسرت خوردن ننشینی
|

| 17:30 | Surely your Lord increases the provision for anyone He chooses, and reduces it. Surely he is fully aware of ,seeing, His worshippers.
|
همانا پروردگار تو هرکه را خواهد روزی وسیع دهد و هرکه را خواهد تنگ روزی گرداند . همانا او به بندگانش بسیار آگاه و بینااست

| 17:31 | You shall not kill your children due to fear of poverty. We provide for them, as well as for you. Killing them is a gross offense.
|
و فرزندان خودرا از ترس فقر مکشید . ما روزی دهنده آنها و نیز شما هستیم . همانا کشتن فرزند گناهی بس بزرگ است

| 17:32 | You shall not approach adultery; it is an indecency , and an evil behavior.
|
و به زنا نزدیک مشوید که کاری زشت و راه بدی است
|

| 17:33 | You shall not kill any person - for God has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice. Thus, he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder. Surely he is victorious.
|
و کسی را مکشید مگر بحق که خداوند قتل نفس را حرام فرموده . و کسیکه به ناحق کشته شود ولی او را بر قاتل تسلط دادیم پس وی نباید در خونریزی زیاده روی کند . همانا او پیروز است

| 17:34 | You shall not touch the orphans' money except for their own good, until they reach maturity. You shall fulfill your covenants, surely (every)covenant shall be questioned about.
|
و بمال یتیم نزدیک مشوید مگر برای وی بهتر باشد تا آنکه بسن رشد و بلوغ برسد .و بعهدتان وفاکنید ، همانا از عهد و پیمان سئوال خواهد شد

| 17:35 | You shall give full measure when you trade, and weigh equitably. That is the best and the most advantageous in the final determination.
|
و هرچه را با کیل و وزن می سنجید تمام بدهید و ترازوی عدالت را رعایت کنید . این بهتر است و تاویلش نیکوتر
|

| 17:36 | You shall not follow what you have no knowledge of, surely the hearing and the eyesight and the heart, all of these, shall be questioned about that.
|
و آنچه را بدان علم و دانش نداری پیروی و متابعت مکن که چشم و گوش و دل همه ازآن پرسیده و بازخواست میشوند

| 17:37 | You shall not walk proudly on earth - you cannot bore through the earth, nor can you be as tall as the mountains.
|
با کبر و ناز بر روی زمین راه مرو که زمین را نتوانی شکافت و به بلندی کوهها نخواهی بود
|

| 17:38 | All bad behavior is condemned by your Lord.
|
این کار و کردارهای بد همه نزد خداوند زشت و ناپسند است
|

|
| 17:39 | This is some of the wisdom revealed to you by your Lord. You shall not set up another god beside God, lest you end up in Hell, blamed and abandoned.
|
اینها از حکمتهایی است که پروردگارت بتو وحی کرد. با خدای یکتا خدای دیگری قرار مده وگرنه ملامت زده و رهاشده به جهنم خواهی افتاد

| 17:40 | Has your Lord given you boys, while giving Himself the angels as daughters?! How could you utter such a awful word ! |
آیا خدا شمارا به فرزندان پسر گزیده و خود فرشتگان را دختران خویش نموده؟ همانا گفتار شما افترایی بزرگ است
|

| 17:41 | We have cited in this Quran (all kinds of examples), that they may take heed. But it only augments their aversion. |
وما در این قرآن نمونه های فراوانیرا نیکو بیان کردیم تا متذکر شده پند گیرید ولیکن جز نفرت و رمندگی چیزی نیفزود

| 17:42 | Say, 'If there were any other gods beside Him, as they claim, then certainly they would have sought a way against the Lord of the Throne.'
|
بگو اگر با خدای یکتا چنانکه شما میگویید خدایان دیگری بودند در اینصورت بر خدای عرش راه میگرفتند

| 17:43 | Be He glorified, He is much too exalted, far above their utterances.
|
او منزه است از آنچه میگویند و بس برتر و بزرگتر
|

| 17:44 | Glorifying Him are the seven universes, the earth, and everyone in them. There is nothing that does not glorify Him, but you do not understand their glorification. He is Clement, Forgiver.
|
هفت آسمان و زمین و هرچه در آنهااست به ستایش و تنزیه او مشغولند و موجودی نیست جز اینکه به تسبیح و ستایش او متذکر است ولیکن شما تسبیح آنهارا فهم نمیکنید. همانا او بسیار بردبار و آمرزنده است

| 17:45 | When you read the Quran, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier.
|
و چون تو قرآن را قرائت کنی ما میان تو و آنها که به آخرت ایمان ندارند حجابی پنهانی قرار دهیم

| 17:46 | We place shields around their minds, to prevent them from understanding it, and deafness in their ears. And when you mention your Lord alone in the quran , they run away in aversion.
|
وما بر دل آنها پرده ای افکنیم تا فهم قرآن نتوانند کرد و گوشهایشان سنگین شود وچون تو در قرآن پروردگارت را به یکتایی یاد کنی روی بگردانند و فرار کنند
|

| 17:47 | We are fully aware of what they hear, when they listen to you, and when they conspire secretly - the disbelievers say,'You are following a crazy man.'
|
ما داناتریم به آنچه آنها میشنوند هنگامی که بتو گوش میدهند و چون باهم بنجوی نشینند ستمکارانشان گویند که شما جز فردی مسحور را پیروی نمیکنید
|

| 17:48 | Note how they describe you, and how this causes them to stray off the path.
|
بنگر چه مثلهایی بتونسبت میدهند. آنها گمراهند و هیچ راهی نمی یابند
|

| 17:49 | They said, 'After we turn into bones and fragments, we get resurrected anew?!'
|
و گفتند پس از اینکه استخوانهایمان پوسیده شد دوباره از نو زنده و برانگیخته میشویم؟
|

| 17:50 | Say, 'Even if you turn into rocks or iron, |
بگو حتی اگر سنگ و آهن شده باشید
|

|
| 17:51 | 'Even if you turn into any kind of creation that you deem impossible.' They will then say, 'Who will bring us back?' Say, 'The One who created you in the first place.' They will then shake their heads and say, 'When will that be?' Say, 'It may be closer than you think.'
|
یا خلقتی سخت تر. گویند چه کسی مارا برگرداند؟ بگو همانکس که هم اول بار شمارا آفرید . پس نزد تو سر بزیر افکنده گویند این وعده کی خواهد آمد بگو چه بسا که نزدیک باشد

| 17:52 | The day He summons you, you will respond by praising Him, and you will then realize that you had lasted in this life but a short while. |
روزیکه شمارا بخواند و شمابا حمد و ستایش اورا پاسخ گویید و پندارید که جز اندک زمانی درنگ نکرده اید

| 17:53 | Tell My worshippers to treat each other in the best possible manner, for the Satan will always try to drive a wedge among them. Surely, the Satan is man's most ardent enemy.

بندگانم را بگو که همیشه سخن نیکو بر زبان آرید تا شیطان بین شما کدورت نیندازد ، همانا شیطان دشمن آشگاری برای آدمیان است

| 17:54 | Your Lord knows you best. According to His knowledge, He may shower you with mercy, or He may punish you. We did not send you (O Muhammad) to be their advocate.
|
پروردگار شما بشما داناتر است ؛ اگر بخواهد بشما مهربانی میکند و اگر بخواهد شمارا عذاب مینماید . ما تورا( ای پیغمبر)وکیل و نگهبان آنها قرار ندادیم

| 17:55 | Your Lord is the best knower of all beings in the heavens and the earth. In accordance with this knowledge, we preferred some prophets over others. For example, we gave David the Psalms.
|
و پروردگارت به آنچه در آسمانها و زمین است داناتر است . همانا ما برخی از پیامبران را بر برخی دیگر برتری بخشیدیم و به داود زبور را دادیم

| 17:56 | Say, 'Implore whatever idols you have set up beside Him.' They have no power to remove your afflictions, nor can they change them.
|
بگو بتهایی را که علاوه بر خدا می پندارید بخوانید . آنها نه دفع ضرری از شما توانند کرد و نه تغییر حالی بشما توانند داد

| 17:57 | Even the idols that they implore are seeking the ways and means towards their Lord. They hope for His mercy, and fear His Wrath. Surely, the Wrath of your Lord is to be cautious of.
|
آنهایی را که به دعا میخوانند مقربترین آنان خود بدرگاه پروردگار وسیله تقرب میجویند ، برحمت او امیدوار و از عذاب وی ترسانند. همانا که عذاب پروردگارت بس حذرکردنی است
|

| 17:58 | And there is not a town but We will destroy it before the day of resurrection, or punish it with dire punishment.
|
و هیچ شهر و دیاری نیست مگر اینکه پیش از ظهور قیامت اهلش را هلاک کرده و یا بعذاب سختی دچار میکنیم
