.بنام ایزد بخشایشگر مهربان |

Nay,I swear by this town (earth), |
1 |
هرآینه سوگند به این شهر(سرزمین)ر |
*
|
|
whereyou are a resident. |
2 |
شهری (سرزمینی) که تو در آن جاى دارى |
|
|
and the parent and offspring, |
3 |
و به تولیدکننده(پدر-مادر) و آنچه تولید میشود(فرزند)ر |
|
|
We have certainly created the human being to go through hardship. |
4 |
همانا ما انسان را در رنج و سختی آفریدیم |
|
|
Does he think that no one has any power over him? |
5 |
آیا پندارد که هرگز کسی بر او دست نتواند یافت؟ |
|
|
He boasts that I have spent so much money! |
6 |
گوید پول فراوانی تباه کردم |
|
|
Does he think that no one sees him? |
7 |
آیا پندارد که هیچکس او را نبیند؟ |
|
|
Did We not give him two eyes- |
8 |
آیا برای او دوچشم ننهادیم؟ |
|
|
and a tongue, and two lips- |
9 |
و یک زبان و دو لب؟ |
|
|
and show him the two paths? |
10 |
و اورا به هردو راه (نیک و بد) رهبری کردیم |
|
|
| But he would not attempt to ascend the steep uphill road, |
11 |
ولی او کوششی سخت نکند تا گردنه را بپیماید |
|
|
And do you know what the uphill road is? |
12 |
و تو چه دانى آن گردنه چيست |
|
|
[it is] the freeing of one's neck, |
13 |
پاره كردن بند ازگردن(بنده ای را آزاد کردن؟یا آزادکردن خود؟)ر |
|
|
| Or feeding someone during hard times,- |
14 |
یا غذا دادن در روزگار سختی و گرسنگى |
*
|
|
of an orphan near of kin,- |
15 |
يتيمى از نزدیکان |
|
|
or of a needy [stranger] lying in dust.- |
16 |
يا بینوایى زمین گیر |
|
|
Besides, being of those who believe, enjoining eachother to patience, and enjoining eachother to compassion. |
17 |
سپس از كسانى باشد كه ايمان آورده يكديگر را به شكيبايى ومهربانی سفارش مىكنند |
|
|
They are the dwellers of the bliss. |
18 |
اینها یاران یمن وخجستگی اند |
|
|
As for those who disbelieve in Our signs, they will be the dwellers of the misery. |
19 |
وآنانکه به آیات ما کافر شوند ، هم آنان هستند یاران نکبت و ناخجستگی |
|
|
They will be surrounded by Fire. |
20 |
بر آنهااست آتشی فراگیرنده |
