And [remember] when you said, 'O Moses, we will not believe you unless we see God, physically(openly)', Consequently, the thunderbolt of punishment overtook you before your very eyes. |
55 |
و آنگاه گفتید : ای موسی هرگز ترا باور نمیکنیم مگر اینکه خدا را به آشگار ببینیم ، پس صائقه (تنبیه) بر شما فرو آمد در حالیکه نظاره میکردید |

We then raised you after your death, so that you might be appreciative. |
56 |
سپس شما را پس از مرگتان برانگیختیم باشد که سپاس گزارید |
|
|
We shaded you with clouds , and sent down to you manna and quails [saying]: 'Eat of the good things we provided you as sustenance. ' They did not harm us (by rebelling); they only harm their own. |
57 |
و شما را زیر سایه ابر (رحمت) قراردادیم و برایتان" من و سلوی"(پخته و شیرین) فروفرستادیم ، {و گفتیم} بخورید از پاکیزه ها آنچه را روزیتان نمودیم .آنها (با نافرمانی خود)برما ستم نکردند بلکه بخود ستم نمودند |

And [remember] when We said, 'Enter this town and eat of its food as you may desire, abundantly; but enter the gate humbly and say: 'Repentance', [wherupon] We shall forgive your sins, and increase the reward for those who are pious. |
58 |
و آنگاه که گفتیم : داخل "این قریه" شوید و هرچه از آن میخواهید بفراوانی بخورید و سچده کنان به "آن در" وارد شوید و بگویید "از گناهان ما بگذر" . خطاهای شما را می بخشیم و بزودی پاداش پارسایان را افزایش میدهیم |

But the wicked among them carried out commands other than the commands given to them. (*) Consequently, we sent down upon the transgressors wrath from the heaven, because they infringed (Our command). |
59 |
پس ستمکاران "قول" را بغیر آنچه بدیشان گفته شده بود عوض کردند . پس ماهم بر آنها که ستم کردند از آسمان عذابی فرو فرستادیم زیرا که فاسق و زشت کردار میبودند |

And when Moses sought water for his people. We said, 'Strike the rock with your staff.' Whereupon, twelve springs gushed out therefrom. so that all the people knew whence to drink. [And Moses said:] Eat and drink from God's provisions, and do not act corruptly, making mischief on the earth. |
60 |
و آنگاه که موسی برای قومش آب طلب کرد ، پس گفتیم : عصایت را بر "آن سنگ" بزن ، پس از آن دوازده چشمه آب برجوشید . همانا هرکسی آبشخور خود را دانست . {و موسی گفت:} بخورید و بیاشامید از روزی خدا و در زمین با بدطینتی تبه کاری مکنید |

Recall when you said, 'O Moses, we can no longer tolerate one kind of food. Call upon your Lord to produce for us such earthly crops as beans, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions.' moses said, 'Do you wish to substitute that which is inferior for that which is [so much] better? Go back in shame to Egypt, so you can have what you are asking for'. So they incurred condemnation, humiliation, and disgrace, and brought upon themselves wrath from God. This is because they rejected God's revelations, and killed the prophets unjustly. This is because they disobeyed and transgressed. |
61 |
و آنگاه که گفتید ای موسی ما هرگز بر یک غذا صبر نکنیم ، پس از پروردگارت برای ما بخواه که از روئیدنیهای زمین از تره و خیار و گندم و عدس و پیاز بیرون آورد ، گفت : آیا خواهان تبدیل آنچه بهتر است به "پست" هستید !؟ پس با شرمساری به مصر برگردید که آنچه را آرزو کردید برای شما باشد . لذا به فلاکت و خواری افتادند و به خشم خداوند گرفتار آمدند ، زیرا آنها به آیات خدا کافر بودند و به ناحق پیامبران را میکشتند . این هم بدان علت بود که عصیانگر و تجاوزکار بودند |

Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the Sabians; all who (1) believes in God, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their reward from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (*) |
62 |
همانا آنانکه گرویدند (مسلمانان)، یهودیها ، پیروان حضرت مسیح (ع) و صائبین ؛ آنها که بخدا و روز آخرت ایمان آورد ه کار نیک کنند ، پاداش آنها نزد پروردگارشان است و بر آنها نه ترسی است و نه اندوهگین شوند |

And when We made a covenant with you, as we raised Mount Sinai above you: 'You shall take what we have given you with strength, and remember its contents, so that you might remain conscious of God! ' |
63 |
وآنگاه که با شما پیمان بستیم و کوه طور را بر فرازتان بلند گردانیدیم . {و گفتیم} آنچه را بشما دادیم با همه قدرت (بکار) کیرید و آنچه را در اوست بیاد آورید که شاید پرهیزکار شوید |

|
But you turned away thereafter, and if it were not for God's grace towards you and His mercy, you would have been among the losers. |
64 |
سپس بعد از آن روی برتافتید و اگر فضل خدا و رحمتش
برشما نمیبود ، از جمله زیانکاران میبودید |
|
|
And certainly you have known those among you who exceeded the limits of the Sabbath, so We said to them: Be (as) apes, despicable . |
65 |
و هرآینه آگاهید که کسانی از شما از حدود روز"شنبه" تجاوز کردند ، پس
آنان را گفتیم که " میمونهای مطرود" باشید |

We set them up as a warning for their time and all times to come, as well as a warning for the God-conscious people. |
66 |
ما آنان را هم برای آنها که ناظر بودند و هم برای آیندگان عبرتی قرار دادیم در حالیکه آن همچنین هشداری است برای پرهیزکاران |

|
And when Moses said to his people, 'God commands you to sacrifice a cow. (*) They said, 'Are you mocking us?' He said, 'I seek refuge with God against being so ignorant.' |
67 |
و آنگاه که موسی بقومش گفت: همانا خدا بشما امر میکند که گوساله ای را بکشید. آنها گفتند شوخی میکنی؟ گفت پناه میبرم بخدا که از ابلهان باشم |

They said, 'Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what she is to be like.' Moses said, 'He says that she is a heifer that is neither too old, nor too young; of an intermediate age. Now, carry out what you are commanded to do.' |
68 |
گفتند از پروردگارت بخواه تا بیان کند که چگونه گاوی باشد ؟ موسی گفت او گوید همانا گوساله ای باشد نه زیاد پیر نه جوان، میانسال باشد . اکنون آنچه را فرمان داده شده انجام دهید |

|
They said, 'Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what is her color.' Moses said, 'He says that she is a yellow heifer, bright colored, pleases the beholders.' |
69 |
گفتند از پروردگارت بخواه تا بیان کند که چه رنگی باشد؟ موسی گفت : او گوید همانا گوساله زرد رنگ روشنی که بینندگان را مسرت بخشد، باشد |

|
They said, 'Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what she is to be like? because all cows resemble one another; and then, if God so wills, we shall truly be guided aright!' |
70 |
گفتند از پروردگارت بخواه تا بیان کند کدام گوساله؟ بنظر ما همه گوساله ها شبیه همند و اگر خدا بخواهد هدایت خواهیم شد |

Moses said, 'He says that she is to be a heifer that was never humiliated in plowing the land or watering the crops; free from any blemish.' They said, 'At last you have brought out the truth.' And finally they sacrificed her, though almost they did not. (*) |
71 |
موسی گفت : او میگوید همانا گوساله ای باشد که نه باخواری شخم زده و نه به کشتزارها آب رسانده ، کاملا بی عیب و خالی از رنگ دیگری . آنها گفتند اینک حقیقت را آوردی و گوساله را کشتند گرچه نزدیک بود که انجام ندهند |

|
And when you killed a man, then disputed among yourselves. God will bring to light [on the Day of Judjment] what you would conceal. |
72 |
چون آنگاه که نفسی را کشتید گناه آنرا به گردن یکدیگر انداختید . اما خداوند حقیقت را آشکار نماید |
|
|
So We said: Strike him with something of her (apply this to some of those) , thus God brings the dead to life, and shows you His signs, so that you might [learn to] use your reason. |
73 |
پس گفتیم آنرا ببخشی از این بزنید . اینچنین خداوند از مرگ زندگی می آفریند و آیاتش را بشما نشان میدهد باشد که خرد ورزی کنید |

Despite this, your hearts hardened like rocks, or even harder. For there are rocks from which streams gush out. Others crack and release water, and other rocks fall down for awe of God. And God is not unaware of what you do. |
74 |
سپس دل شما بعد از همه اینها چون سنگ سخت گردید و حتی سخت تر . زیرا سنگهایی هست که از آنها نهر آب بیرون میزند و سنگهای دیگری که شکافته از آنها آب به بیرون میتراود و نیز سنگهایی که از خوف حق فرو میریزند . همانا خداوند از آنچه میکنید آگاه است |

|
Do you expect them to believe in [what] you [preach] , when some of them used to hear the word of God, then distort it, with full understanding thereof, and deliberately? |
75 |
آیا از آنها توقع دارید که به {حرف} شما ایمان آورند و حال آنکه برخی از آنها کلام خدا را شنیده و پس از فهمیدن آن ، دانسته ، آنرا تحریف میکنند |
