| That was a community from the past. They are responsible for what they earned, and you are responsible for what you earned. You are not answerable for anything they did. |
141 |
آن جماعت را روزگار سپرى شد براى ايشان است آنچه به دست آوردهاند و براى شماست آنچه به دست آوردهايد و از آنچه آنان كردهاند شما بازخواست نخواهيد شد |

The weak-minded among people would say, 'Why did they change the direction of their Qiblah?' Say, 'To God belongs the east and the west; He guides whomever wills in a straight path.' |
142 |
به زودى مردم كم خرد خواهند گفت چه چيز آنان را از قبله اى كه بر آن بودند رويگردان كرد . بگو مشرق و مغرب از آن خداست . او هر كه را خواهد به راه راست هدايت مىكند |

We thus made you an middlemost community, that you may serve as witnesses among the people, and the messenger serves as a witness among you. We changed the direction of your original Qiblah only to distinguish those among you who readily follow the messenger from those who would turn back on their heels. It was a difficult test, but not for those who are guided by God. God never puts your worship to waste. God is full of kindness towards the people, Most Merciful. |
143 |
و بدين گونه شما را امتى ميانه قرار داديم تا بر مردم گواه باشيد و پيامبر بر شما گواه باشد و قبلهاى را كه بر آن بودى تغییر نداديم جز براى آنكه كسى را كه از پيامبر پيروى مىكند از آن كس كه از عقيده خود برمىگردد بازشناسيم هر چند [اين كار] جز بر كسانى كه خدا هدايت كرده سخت گران بود و خدا بر آن نبود كه ايمان شما را ضايع گرداند زيرا خدا به مردم بسیار دلسوز و مهربان است |

We have seen you [ O Prophet] often turn your face twards heaven [ for guidance]: and We now assign a Qiblah that is pleasing to you. Henceforth, turn your face towards the Inviolable House of Worship. Wherever you may be, all of you shall turn your faces towards it [in prayer]. Those who received the previous scripture know that this is the truth from their Lord. God is never unaware of anything they do. |
144 |
ما رو به آسمان کردن ترا[برای دریافت وحی از نظر جهت قبله] مکرر دیده ایم . اینک تو را به قبلهاى كه بدان خشنود شوى برگردانيم پس روى خود را به سوى مسجدالحرام كن و هر جا بوديد [برای نماز خواندن] روى خود را به سوى آن بگردانيد . هرآینه اهل كتاب نيك مىدانند كه اين [تغيير قبله] از جانب پروردگارشان درست است و خدا از آنچه مىكنند غافل نيست |

Even if you show the followers of the scripture every sign , they will not follow your Qiblah. Nor shall you follow their Qiblah. They do not even follow each others' Qiblah. If you acquiesce to their wishes, after all the knowledge that has come to you, indeed you will be among the evildoers. |
145 |
و هر نشانه (آیه) ای براى اهل كتاب بياورى قبله تو را پيروى نكنند و تو [نيز] پيرو قبله آنان نيستى و خود آنان نیزپيرو قبله يكديگر نيستند . پس بعد از علمى كه تو را آمده اگر از هوسهاى ايشان پيروى كنى بدیهی ایست که از ستمكاران خواهى بود |

Those who received the scripture recognize the truth herein, as they recognize their own children. Yet, some of them knowingly conceal the truth . |
146 |
كسانى كه به ايشان كتاب [آسمانى] دادهايم همان گونه كه پسران خود را مىشناسند آنرا مىشناسند اما گروهى از ايشان حقيقت را پنهان میکنند در حالیکه مىدانند |

The truth is from your Lord, therefore do not harbor any doubt. |
147 |
حق از جانب پروردگار توست پس مبادا از ترديدكنندگان باشى |
|
| Every community faces a direction of its own, of which He is the focal point (*), you shall race towards righteousness. Wherever you may be, God will summon you all. God is Omnipotent. |
148 |
و براى هر كس قبلهاى است كه روى خود را به آن [سوى] مىگرداند ، پس در كارهاى نيك بر يكديگر پيشى گيريد . هر كجا كه باشيد خداوند همگى شما را [به سوى خود باز] مىآورد هرآینه خدا بر همه چيز تواناست |

Thus wherever you go, you shall turn your face [in prayer] towards the Inviolable House of Worship. This is the truth from your Lord. God is never unaware of anything you all do. |
149 |
و بهر كجا بروى روى خود را {بهنگام نماز} به سوى مسجدالحرام بگردان . همانا اين حق و از جانب پروردگار تو است و خداوند از آنچه مىكنيد غافل نيست |

Wherever you go, you [ O Prophit] shall turn your face [in prayer] towards the Inviolable House of Worship. wherever you might be, you all shall turn your faces [in prayer] towards it. Thus, the people will have no argument against you, except the transgressors among them. And hold not them in awe, but stand in awe of Me. I will then perfect My blessings upon you, that you may be guided. |
150 |
و از هر كجا آمدى [به هنگام نماز] روى خود را به سمت مسجدالحرام بگردان و هر كجا بوديد رويهاى خود را به سوى آن بگردانيد تا براى مردم غير از ستمگرانشان بر شما حجتى نباشد پس از آنان نترسيد و از من بترسيد تا نعمتخود را بر شما كامل گردانم و باشد كه هدايتشويد |

(Blessings) such as the sending of a messenger from among you to recite our revelations to you, purify you, teach you the scripture and wisdom, and to teach you what you never knew. |
151 |
همان طور در ميان شما فرستادهاى از خودتان فرستادیم [كه] آيات ما را بر شما مىخواند و شما را پاك مىگرداند و به شما كتاب و حكمت مىآموزد و آنچه را نمىدانستيد به شما ياد مىدهد |

|
You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative.
|
152 |
پس مرا ياد كنيد [تا] شما را ياد كنم و شكرانهام را به جاى آريد و بمن کفران نورزید |
|
| O you who believe, seek help through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Salat). Gخی is with those who steadfastly persevere. |
153 |
اى كسانى كه ايمان آوردهايد از شكيبايى و نماز يارى جوييد زيرا خدا با شكيبايان است |
|
|
Do not say of those who are killed in the cause of God, 'They are dead.' They are alive , but you do not perceive. |
154 |
و كسانى را كه در راه خدا كشته مىشوند مرده نخوانيد بلكه زندهاند ولى شما درک نمیکنيد |
|
|
We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the those who patiently persevere, |
155 |
و قطعا شما را به چيزى از [قبيل] ترس و گرسنگى و كاهشى در اموال و جانها و محصولات مىآزماييم و مژده ده شكيبايان را |

| and who say,when an affliction befalls them, 'We belong to God, and to Him we are returning.' |
156 |
آنها كه هر گاه مصيبتى به آنان برسد مىگويند همانا ما از آن خدا هستيم و به سوى او باز مىگرديم |

|
These have deserved blessings from their Lord and mercy. These are on the right path.
|
157 |
اينها، همانها هستند كه الطاف و رحمت خدا شامل حالشان شده; و آنها هستند هدايتيافتگان |
|
|
Surely the Safa and the Marwa are among the rites decreed by God. Anyone who observes Hajj or Umrah commits no error by traversing the distance between them. If one volunteers more righteous works, then God is Appreciative, Omniscient. |
158 |
همانا صفا و مروه از شعاير خداست پس هر كه خانه [خدا] را حج كند يا عمره گزارد بر او گناهى نيست كه ميان آن دو سعى به جاى آورد و هر كه افزون بر فريضه كار نيكى كند خدا حق شناس و داناست |

|
As for those who conceal our revelations and guidance, after being made clear to mankind through Scripture, they are cursed by God; and they are cursed by those entitled to curse. (**) |
159 |
كسانى كه دلايل روشن، و وسيله هدايتى را كه نازل كردهايم وبعد از آنكه در كتاب براى مردم بيان شد كتمان كنند، خدا آنها را لعنت كند; و همه لعنكنندگان نيز، آنها را لعن كنند |

|
Except those who repent, reform, and proclaim(the truth). I shall accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of repentance, Most Merciful. |
160 |
مگر كسانى كه توبه كردند و اصلاح نمودند و [حقيقت را] آشكار كردند پس توبه آنها را خواهم پذیرفت که من توبه پذير بسیار مهربانم |

|
Those who disbelieve and die as disbelievers, on them is the curse of God, the angels, and all the people . |
161 |
كسانى كه كافر شوند و در حال كفر بمیرند لعنتخدا و فرشتگان و تمام مردم بر آنان باد |
|
|
In this state they shall abide . Their suffering won't be reduced , nor will they be granted respite. |
162 |
در آن [لعنت] جاودانه بمانند نه عذابشان كاسته گردد و نه مهلتی يابند |
