Specific days (are designated for fasting); if one is ill or traveling, an equal number of other days may be substituted. Those who can fast, but with great difficulty, may substitute feeding one poor person for each day of breaking the fast. If one volunteers (more righteous works), it is better. And fasting is beter for you, if you only knew. |

روزهاى معینى [برای روزه گرفتن مقرر شده است] هر كس از شما بيمار يا در سفر باشد [به همان شماره] تعدادى از روزهاى ديگر [را روزه بدارد] و كسانى كه [روزه گرفتن] برایشان طاقتفرساست كفاره آن خوراك دادن به بينوايى است و هر كس به ميل خود بيشتر نيكى كند پس آن براى او بهتر است و اگر بدانيد روزه گرفتن براى شما بهتر است |

Ramadan is the month during which the Quran was revealed, providing guidance for the people and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction(between right and wrong) .Those of you who witness this month shall fast therein. Those who are ill or traveling may substitute the same number of other days. God wishes for you convenience, not hardship, that you may fulfill your obligations, and to glorify God for guiding you, and to express your appreciation.

رمضان ماهی است كه در آن قرآن فرو فرستاده شده [كتابى] كه مردم را راهبر و[متضمن] دلايل آشكارهدايت و [ميزان] تشخيص حق از باطل است پس هر كس از شما اين ماه را درك كند بايد آن را روزه بدارد و كسى كه بيمار يا در سفر است [بايد به شماره آن] تعدادى از روزهاى ديگر [را روزه بدارد] خدا برایتان آسانى مىخواهد نه سختی تا شماره [مقرر روزه] را تكميل كنيد . خدا را به پاس آنكه رهنمونتان كرده است به بزرگى بستاييد باشد كه سپاسگزارشويد |

When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me, in order to be correctly guided.

186 |
و هرگاه بندگانم از تو در باره من بپرسند من نزديكم و دعاى دعاكننده را بهنگامى كه مرا بخواند اجابت مىكنم پس [آنان] بايد طلب اجابت کنند و به من ايمان آورند باشد كه راه رشد را بيابند |

Permitted for you is sexual intercourse with your wives during the nights of fasting. They are your garments , and you are their garments. God knew that you used to betray your souls, and He has redeemed you, and has pardoned you. Henceforth, you may have intercourse with them, seeking what God has permitted for you. You may eat and drink until the white thread of light becomes distinguishable from the darkness of night, at dawn. Then, you shall fast until sunset. Sexual intercourse is prohibited if you decide to retreat to the masjid (during the last ten days of Ramadan). These are God's laws; you shall not transgress them. God thus clarifies His revelations for the people, that they might remain conscious of Him. |

در شبهاى روزه همخوابگى با زنانتان بر شما حلال گرديده است آنان براى شما لباس [عفت] هستند و شما براى آنان نیز. خدا مىدانست كه شما به خودتان خیانت مىكرديد پس توبه شما را پذيرفت و از شما درگذشت . پس اكنون [در شبهاى ماه رمضان مىتوانيد] با آنان همخوابگى كنيد و آنچه را خدا براى شما مقرر داشته طلب كنيد و بخوريد و بياشاميد تا رشته سپيد بامداد از رشته سياه [شب] بر شما نمودار شود سپس روزه را تا [فرا رسيدن] شب به اتمام رسانيد . و در حالى كه در مساجد معتكف هستيد آمیزش جنسی مکنید . اينست حدود احكام الهى پس [زنهار به قصد گناه] آنرا نشکنيد . اين گونه خداوند آيات خود را براى مردم بيان مىكند باشد كه پروا پيشه كنند |

| You shall not take each others' money illicitly, nor shall you bribe the officials to deprive others of some of their rights illicitly, while you know. |
188 |
و اموالتان را ميان خودتان به ناروا مخوريد و [به عنوان رشوه قسمتى از] آن را به حکام (قضات) مدهيد تا بخشى از اموال مردم را به گناه بخوريد در حالى كه خودتان مىدانيد |

They ask you about the phases of the moon! Say, 'They provide a timing device for the people, and determine the time of Hajj.' It is not piety to enter houses from the back door, but pious is he who is conscious of God and enter houses through their doors. And remain conscious of God, so that you might attain to a happy state. |
189 |
در باره هلالها[ى ماه] از تو مىپرسند بگو آنها [شاخص] گاهشمارى براى مردم و [موسم] حجاند . پارسایی آن نيست كه از در پشت به خانهها درآييد بلكه پارسا کسی است كه تقوا پيشه كند و به خانه از در [درست] آن درآيد . و از خدا بترسيد باشد كه رستگارشويد |

| And fight in God's cause against those who wage war against you, but do not commit aggression. God does not love the aggressors. |
190 |
و در راه خدا با كسانى كه با شما مىجنگند بجنگيد ولى از اندازه درنگذريد که خداوند تجاوزكاران را دوست نمىدارد |
|
|
And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and sedition is worse than murder. Do not fight them at the Sacred House of Worship , unless they attack you therein. If they attack you, you may kill them. This is the just retribution for those who deny the truth. |
191 |
و هر كجا بر ايشان دستيافتيد آنان را بكشيد و همان گونه كه شما را بيرون راندند آنان را بيرون برانيد كه فتنه از قتل بدتر است [با اين همه] در جوار مسجد الحرام با آنان جنگ مكنيد مگر آنكه با شما در آن جا به جنگ درآيند پس اگر با شما جنگيدند آنان را بكشيد كه كيفر كافران چنين است |

If they refrain, then God is Much-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
192 |
و اگر بازايستادند البته خدا بسیارآمرزنده مهربان است |

| Hence, fight against them until there is no more oppression and all worship is devoted to God alone. If they refrain, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors. |
193 |
بنابرین با آنها بجنگید تا زورگویی پایان گیرد و پرستش تنها برای خدا باشد . ولی اگر باز ایستادند جنگ و ستیزی نیست مگر با ستمکاران |

During the Sacred Months, fight if you are attacked: because a violation of sanctity is [subject to the] just retribution. Thus, if anyone commits aggression against you, attack him just as he has attacked you - but remain conscious of God, and know that God is with those who are conscious of Him |
194 |
اگر در ماههای حرام بشما حمله شد بجنگید چون شکستن حرمت ماه حرام قابل قصاص است ، اگر بشما تجاوز کردند به آنها تجاوز کنید ولی از خدا پروا کنید و بدانيد خدا با پرهيزكاران است |

|
And spend [freely] in the cause of God; do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction. Persevere in doing good, as God loves those who do good. |
195 |
و در راه خدا انفاق كنيد و خود را با دستخود به هلاكت ميفكنيد و نيكى كنيد كه خدا نيكوكاران را دوست مىدارد |

And perform the pilgrimage and the pious visit [to Mecca] in honour of God; and if you are held back, give instead whatever offering you can easily afford. And do not shave your heads until the offering has been sacrificed. If you are ill, or suffering an ailment of head, you shall expiate by fasting, or giving to charity, or some other form of worship. Then he who takes advantage of a pious visit before the [time of] pilgrimage shall give whatever offering he can easily afford. If you cannot afford it, you shall fast three days during Hajj and seven when you return home - this completes ten - provided you do not live at the Sacred Masjid. And remain conscious of God, and know that God is severe in retribution. |
196 |
و براى خدا حج و عمره را به پايان رسانيد و اگر [به علت موانعى] بازداشته شديد آنچه ميسر است قربانى كنيد و تا قربانى به قربانگاه نرسيده سر خود را متراشيد و هر كس از شما بيمار باشد يا در سر ناراحتيى داشته باشد [و ناچار شود در احرام سر بتراشد] به كفاره [آن بايد] روزهاى بدارد يا صدقهاى دهد يا قربانيى بكند . و چون ايمنى يافتيد پس هر كس از عمره به حج پرداخت [بايد] آنچه ميسر است قربانى كند و کسانی که نتوانند [بايد] در هنگام حجسه روز روزه بدارند و چون بمحل خود برگشتند هفت روز ديگر ، کلا ده روز . اين براى كسى است كه اهل مسجد الحرام (مكه) نباشد . و از خدا بترسيد و بدانيد كه خدا سختكيفرمیدهد |

The pilgrimage shall take place in the cannot afford months appointed for it. Whoever sets out to observe Hajj, while on pilgrimage, shall refrain from lewd speech, misconduct, and arguments . Whatever good you do, God is fully aware thereof. And make provision for yourselves - but, surely, the best of all provisions is God-consciousness: remain, then, conscious of Me, O you who possess intelligence. |
197 |
انجام حج در ماههاى معينى است پس هر كس در اين ماهها حج را انجام دهد [بداند كه] در اثناى حج امور جنسی ، بدرفتاری و جدال [روا] نيست و هر كار نيكى انجام مىدهيد خدا آن را مىداند . و براى خود توشه[سفر]برگيريد وهمانا بهترين توشه پرهيزگارى است و اى خردمندان از من پروا كنيد |

You will be committing no sin if [during the pilgrimage] you seek to obtain any bounty from your Lord . When you file from `Arafaat, you shall commemorate God at the holy place (of Muzdalifah). You shall commemorate Him for guiding you; before this, you had gone astray. |
198 |
گناهى ندارد كه [در حج] از فضل پروردگارتان [روزى ] بجوييد . پس چون از عرفات كوچ نموديد خدا را در مشعر الحرام ياد كنيد . ياد كنيد كه شما را كه پيشتر از گمراهان بوديد هدایت نمود |
