You shall file together, with the rest of the people who file, and ask God for forgiveness. God is Much-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

پس از همان جا كه [انبوه] مردم روانه مىشوند شما نيز روانه شويد و از خداوند آمرزش خواهيد كه خدا آمرزنده مهربان است |

Once you complete your rites, you shall continue to commemorate God as you commemorate your own parents, or even better. Some people would say, 'Our Lord, give us of this world,' while having no share in the Hereafter. |
200 |
و چون آداب ويژه حجخود را به جاى آورديد همان گونه كه پدران خود را به ياد مىآوريد يا با يادكردنى بيشتر خدا را به ياد آوريد .برخی گويند پروردگارا به ما در همين دنيا عطا كن و حال آنكه برایشان در آخرت نصيبى نيست |

| Others would say, 'O Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the life to come, and keep us safe from suffering through the fire.' |
201 |
و برخى دیگرگويند پروردگارا در اين دنيا و در آخرت به ما نيكى عطا كن و ما را از عذاب آتش دور نگه دار |
|
| They are the one who will receive their portion of what they have earned. God is swift in reckoning. |
202 |
آنها هستند کسانیکه از دستاوردشان نصيب و بهرهاى خواهند برد; و خداوند، سريع الحساب است |

|
You shall commemorate God for a number of days (in Mena); whoever hastens to do this in two days commits no sin, and whoever stays longer commits no sin, provided that he is conscious of God. Hence, remain conscious of God, and know that before Him you will be gathered. |
203 |
و خدا را در روزهايى معين[در منی] ياد كنيد ، هر كس آنرا در دو روز [انجام دهد] گناهى بر او نيست و یا در سه روز نیزگناهی ندارد ، اگر که پرهیزکار باشد . از خدا پروا كنيد و بدانيد كه شما را به سوى او گرد خواهند آورد |

| Among the people, one may impress you with his utterances concerning this life, and may even call upon God to witness his innermost thoughts, moreover, exceedingly skillful in argument. |
204 |
و از ميان مردم كسى است كه سخنش در باره زندگى اين دنيا تو را به تعجب وامىدارد ، او بر آنچه در دل دارد خدا را گواه مىگيرد و در استدلال سخت ماهراست |

| As soon as he prevails, he goes about the earth spreading corruption and destroying properties and lives. God does not love corruption. |
205 |
هنگامى كه روىبرمیگرداند ( از نزد تو بیرون میرود)، میكوشد که در زمین فساد کند و کشت و نسل را نابود سازد . همانا خداوند تبهکاری را دوست نمىدارد |

And whenever he is told: "Be conscious of God", his arrogance drives him into (more) crime. So, his only destiny is Hell; what a miserable resting place. |
206 |
و چون به او گفته شود از خدا پروا كن نخوت وى او را به گناه [بیشتری] میكشاند . پس جهنم سهم او است . وه ! که چه بد آرامگاهی |

Then there are those who dedicate their lives for God's pleasure; God is most compassionate towards His servants. |
207 |
و از ميان مردم كسى [هم] هست كه جان خود را براى طلب خشنودى خدا میدهد . خدا نسبت به بندگان خود بسیارمهربان است |

| O you who believe, you shall embrace total submission; do not follow Satan's footstep; for,surely, he is your open enemy. |
208 |
اى كسانى كه ايمان آوردهايد همگى تسلیم [اوامرخدا] شويد و گامهاى شيطان را دنبال مكنيد كه او براى شما دشمنى آشكار است |

|
And if you stumble, after the clear proofs have come to you, then know that God is Almighty, Most Wise. |
209 |
و اگر پس از آنكه براى شما دلايل آشكار آمد دستخوش لغزش شديد بدانيد كه خداوند تواناى حكيم است |
|
|
Are these people waiting, perchance, for God to reveal Himself unto them in the shadows of the clouds, together with the angels - although [by then] all will have been decided, and unto God all things will have been brought back |
210 |
آيا انتظار دارند كه [شاید] خداوند و فرشتگان، در سايههائى از ابرها به سوى آنان بيايند [در آنحال] همه چيز به انجام رسیده همه كارها به سوى خدا بازمیگردد |

|
Ask the Children of Israel how many clear messages we have shown them! And if one alters God's blessed message after it has reached him - surely, God is severe in retribution! |
211 |
از فرزندان اسرائيل بپرس چه بسيار نشانههاى روشنى که به آنان داديم و هر كس نعمتخدا را پس از آنكه براى او آمد تغییر دهد [بداند که] خداوند سختكيفرمیدهد |

| This worldly life is adorned in the eyes of the disbelievers, and they ridicule those who believe. However, the righteous will be far above them on the Day of Resurrection. God blesses whomever He wills, beyond all reckoning. |
212 |
زندگى دنيا در چشم كافران آراسته شده است و مؤمنان را ريشخند مىكنند و [حال آنكه] كسانى كه تقواپيشه کنند در روز رستاخيز از آنان برترند و خدا به هر كه بخواهد بى حساب روزى مىدهد |

| The people used to be one single community, [then they began to differ ] whereupon God sent the prophets as bearers of good news, as well as warners. He sent down with them the scripture, bearing the truth, to judge among the people in their disputes. Ironically, those who received the scripture were the ones who differed despite clear proofs given to them. This is due to jealousy on their part. but God guides those who believe to the truth, that is disputed by all others, in accordance with His will. God guides whoever wills in a straight path. |
213 |
مردم امت واحدی بودند [تا اینکه شروع به اختلاف نمودند] پس خداوند پيامبران را برانگيخت که مژده دهنده و بيمدهنده باشند و با آنان كتاب [خود] را بحق فرو فرستاد تا ميان مردم در آنچه با هم اختلاف داشتند داورى كند . اما بجز كسانى از اهل کتاب که پس ازآمدن نشانه هایی روشن بخاطر حسدى كه ميانشان بود [هيچ كس] در آن اختلاف نكرد . خداوند مومنان را به توفيق خويش به حقيقت آنچه كه در آن اختلاف داشتند هدايت میکند و خدا هر كه را بخواهد براه راست هدايت مىكند |

Do you expect to enter Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were tested with hardship and adversity, and were so shaken up that the messenger and the believers with him said, 'When will God's victory come?' Surely, God's victory is [always] near. |
214 |
آيا پنداشتيد كه داخل بهشت میشويد بدون آنچه كه بر پيشينيان شما آمد بر شما آید ؟ آنان دچار چنان سختى و بدبختیی شدند که تكان خوردند و پيامبر و كسانى كه با وى ايمان آورده بودند گفتند پس پيروزى خدا كى خواهد بود ؟ بهوش! همانا پيروزى خدا [همیشه]نزديك است |

| They ask you about giving: say, 'Whatever of your wealth you spend shall [first] go to the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the needy, and the traveling alien. And any good you do, God is fully aware thereof. |
215 |
از تو میپرسند چه انفاق كنند؟ بگو آنچه انفاق میكنيد [ابتدا] به پدر و مادر ، نزديكان ، يتيمان ، مسكينان و به در راه ماندگان تعلق میگیرد و هر گونه نيكویى نمایيد البته خدا به آن داناست |

|
Fighting is ordained for you, even though you dislike it. But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may like something which is bad for you. God knows while you do not know. |
216 |
بر شما كارزار واجب شد در حالى كه برایتان ناگوار است ولی بسا چيزى را ممکن است خوش نداريد و برایتان خوب باشد و بسا چيزى را دوست داريد ولی برایتان بد باشد . خدا مىداند و شما نمىدانيد |

They ask you about fighting in the Sacred Months , say:people 'Fighting therein is grave (offence). However, repelling people from the path of God and denying Him and the sanctity of the Sacred Masjid, and evicting its people, are graver in the sight of God. Oppression is worse than murder.' They [your enemies] will not cease fighting you till revert you from your religion, if they can. Those among you who revert and die as disbelievers, their works in this life and the Hereafter will be nullified. These are the dwellers of Hell, wherein they abide forever. |
217 |
از تو در باره كارزار در ماههای حرام مىپرسند بگو: كارزار در آن [گناهى] بزرگ است ولی دور داشتن مردم از راه خدا و كفر ورزيدن به او ، باز داشتن مردم از [حج] مسجدالحرام و بيرون راندن اهالی آن ، نزد خدا بزرگتر است . و زورگویی از كشتار بدتر است . آنان [دشمنان] پيوسته با شما مىجنگند تا اگر بتوانند شما را از دينتان برگردانند و كسانى از شما كه از دين خود برگردند و در حال كفر بميرند آنان كردارهايشان در دنيا و آخرت تباه شده اهل آتشند و در آن ماندگار خواهند بود |

Surely those who believe, and those who emigrate and strive in the cause of God, have hope of God's mercy. God is Much-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
218 |
همانا آنان كه ايمان آورده و كسانى كه هجرت كرده و درراه خدا جهاد مینمایند ، آنان به رحمتخدا اميدوارند و خداوند بسیارآمرزنده مهربان است |

They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, 'In both there is a gross sin, as well as some benefits for man. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit.' |
219 |
در باره شراب و قمار از تو مىپرسند بگو در آن دو گناهى بزرك و سودهايى [هم]براى مردم است ولى گناهشان از سودشان بزرگتر است |
