| 40:29 | O my people, today you have kingship and the upperhand in the land. But who will help us against God's wrath, should it come to us?' Pharaoh said: 'I but point out to you that which I see ; Nor do I guide you but to the right policy.' |
ای قوم من امروزسلطنت از آن شمااست و روی زمین نیرومندید اما چه کسی ما رایاری میدهد اگر عذاب خدا بیاید؟ فرعون گقت : بشما ارائه نمیکنم مگر آنچه را که میبینم وبجز راه راست راهنماییتان نمی نمایم

| 40:30 | The one who believed said, 'O my people, I fear for you the same fate as the previous factions. |
آنکس که ایمان داشت گفت : ای قوم من براستی بر شما میترسم سرنوشتی که مخالفان پیشین گرفتارش شدند

| 40:31 | Something like the fate of the People of Noah, the 'Ad, and the Thamud, and those who came after them: but Allah never wishes injustice to his Servants. |
مخالفانی از فوم نوح ، عاد و ثمود و کسانی یعد از آنها . و خداوند بر بندگان ستمی اراده نمیکند

| 40:32 | And, O my people! I fear for you the day of calling out . |
و ای قوم من براستی بر شما میترسم از روز قیامت
|

| 40:33 | That is the day when you may wish to turn around and flee. But nothing will protect you then from God. Whomever God sends astray, for him there is no guide. |
روزیکه فرار میکنید تا برگردید ولی چیزی شمارا در برابر خدا حفظ نمیکند و کسیرا که خدا گمراه گرداند دیگر هیچ رهنمونی نخواهد داشت

| 40:34 | Joseph had come to you before that with clear revelations, but you continued to doubt his message. Then, when he died you said, 'God will not send any other messenger after him. Thus God sends astray those who are transgressors, doubtful. |
همانا قبلا یوسف هم با آیات آشگار بر شما آمدکه هر شکی را زائل میکرد ولی شک کردید تا آنگاه که فوت کرد گفتید دیگر کسی بعد از او مبعوث نخواهد شد . اینچنین خداوند ستمکاران مردد را گمراه میکند

| 40:35 | Those who argue against God's revelations, without any basis. It is greatly grievous and odious in the sight of God and of the Believers. God thus seals the hearts of every arrogant tyrant. |
آنهاکه بدون دلیل با آیات خدا مجادله میکنند ، این عملی است که نزد خدا و گروندگان کار زشتی است و اینچنین خداوند بر قلب هر متکبر جبار مهر میزند

| 40:36 | Pharaoh said, 'O Haamaan, build for me a high tower, that I may reach the means, |
و فرعون گفت ای هامان برج بلندی برای من بساز تا دسترسی یابم

| 40:37 | The means of access to the heavens, and to take a look at the god of Moses, and I surely think him to be a liar, Thus were the evil works of Pharaoh adorned in his eyes, and thus was he kept from following (the right) path. And Pharaoh's plot led to nothing but dectruction. |
به آسمان و از خدای موسی آگاه شوم ، همانا گمان میکنم که وی دروغگو است . و بدینسان کارهای بد فرعون در نظرش زیبانمود و از راه(راست) بازداشته شد . حیله فرعون جز هلاکت نتیجه ای نداشت

| 40:38 | The one who believed said, 'O my people, follow me, and I will guide you to the way of right conduct . |
آنکه ایمان آورده بود گفت : مرا پیروی کنید تا شما رابراه رشد هدلیت کنم
|

| 40:39 | 'O my people! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience: It is the Hereafter that is the enduring home. |
<ای مردم همانا این زندگی دنیا پشیزی بیش نیست ، بدرستی خانه آخرت است که حایگاهی ابدی است br/> |

| 40:40 | Whoever commits a sin is requited for just that, and whoever works righteousness - male or female - while believing, these will enter Paradise wherein they receive provisions without any measure. |
هر کس که کار زشتی انجام دهد تنها کیفری برابرآن خواهد داشت ولی کسیکه کار نیک انجام دهد ، چه مرد چه زن ، در حالیکه ایمان دارد چنین کسانی در بهشت وارد میشوند و در آن بیحساب روزی داده خواهند شد

| 40:41 | And, O my people! how is it that I call you to salvation and you call me to the fire? |
و ای قوم من چه میشود مرا در حالیکه شما را بنجات میخوانم شما مرا به آتش دعوت میکنید
|

| 40:42 | You invite me to be unappreciative of God, and to set up beside Him idols of which I have no knowledge. And I am inviting you to the Almighty, the Oft-Forgiving . |
مرا میخوانید کهناسپاسی خدا کنم و بدو شرک ورزم بدون داشتن علمی ، و من شما را بخدای عزیز آمرزنده دعوت میکنم

| 40:43 | 'There is no doubt that what you invite me to do has no basis in this world, nor in the Hereafter, that our ultimate return is to God, and that the transgressors will be Companions of the Fire! |
شکی نیست که آنکه مرا بدو دعوت میکنید نه در دنیا دعوتی دارد ونه در آخرت بدرستی بازگشت ما بسوی خدااست و مسرفین همدم آتشند

| 40:44 | So you shall remember what I say to you soon, and I entrust my affair to God, Surely God is the All-Seer of the servants. |
بزودی آنچه را بشما میگویم بیاد خواهید آورد . من امورم را بخدا واگذار میکنم و خداوند بکار بندگانش بصیر است

| 40:45 | God then protected him from their evil schemes, while the most evil punishment overtook Pharaoh's people. |
پس خداوند او را از حیله های بد آنها حفظ کردو آل فرعون دچار بدترین عذابها شدند
|

| 40:46 | The Fire; they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon. And on the Day of Resurrection (it is said): Cause Pharaoh's people to enter the severest torment . |
آنش که روز وشب بر آنها عرضه میشود و چون قیامت شود : آل فرعون را در شدیدترین عذاب وارد کنید

| 40:47 | As they argue in Hell, the followers will say to their leaders, "Verily! We followed you, can you then take from us some portion of the Fire?" |
آنگاه که در آتش بگومگو میکنند زیردستان به زبردستان گویند همانا ما پیروان شما بودیم آیا میتوانید قدری مارا از آتش رهایی دهید؟ |

| 40:48 | The leaders will say, 'We are all in this together. God has judged among the people.' |
زبردستان گویند ما همگی در آتشیم همانا خداوند میان بندکان حکم میکند
|

| 40:49 | Those in the hellfire will say to the guardians of Hell, 'Call upon your Lord to reduce the torment for us, for even one day.' |
آنها که در آتشند به نگهبانان جهنم میگویند : از پروردگارتان بخواهید تا عذاب را حتی برای یکروز بر ما تخفیف دهد

| 40:50 | They will say, 'Did you not receive your messengers who delivered to you clear messages?' They will reply, 'Yes we did.' They will say, 'Then implore (as much as you wish); the imploring of the disbelievers is always in vain.' |
(نگهبانان) گویند : آیا رسولانتان با پیامهای روشن بسوی شما نیامدند؟ (دوزخیان)گویند چرا . (نگهبانان) گویند : پس خود دعا کنید ولی دعای کافران جز گمراهی نیست |

| 40:51 | Most assuredly, we will give victory to our messengers and to those who believe, both in this world and on the day the witnesses will arise. |
همانا ما رسولانمان و آنها را که ایمان آوردند یاری میکنیم چه در دنیا و جه در روز رستاخیز
|

| 40:52 | On that day, the apologies of the disbelievers will not benefit them. Theirs will be the curse, and theirs will be the Home of Misery. |
روزیکه ستمکاران را عذرخواهیشان سودی نبخشد و برای آنهااست لعنت و جایگاهی بد
|

|
| 40:53 | And certainly We gave Moses the guidance, and made the children of Israel inherit the scripture, |
وهمانا ما به موسی هدایت عطا کردیم و فرزندان اسرائیل را وارث کتاب نمودیم
|

|
| 40:54 | A guidance and a reminder for men of understanding. |
که هدایت و یادآوری است برای خردمندان
|
*
|
| 40:55 | Therefore, be patient, surely God's promise is true, and ask forgiveness for your sin, and glorify the praise of your Lord in the evening and in the morning. . |
پس بردبار باش که وعده خدا حق است . واز گناهت آمرزش بطلب و پروردگار خود را شب و روز به ستایش منزه گردان

| 40:56 | Surely, those who argue against God's revelations without proof are exposing the arrogance that is hidden inside their chests, and they are not even aware of it. Therefore, seek refuge in God; He is the Hearer, the Seer. |
همانا آنها که با آیات خدا بدون دلیل مجادله میکنند انگیزه ای جز تکبر درونی ندارند و بجایی نمیرسند . بخدا پناه ببر که او شنوا و بینااست

| 40:57 | The creation of the heavens and the earth is more awesome than the creation of the human being, but most people do not know. |
آفرینش آسمانها و زمین مهمتر از آفرینش انسان است ولی بیشتر مردم نمیدانند
